THE GOSPEL TIMES
Intoduction
The Gospel Times is an intiative by Rodney Katongo to spread the word of Jesus Christ while providing the necessary physcal needs for Youths in Zambia and Africa at Large. The dream is to empower young people with information on which they will base there informed decisions. This programme is aimed at raising the moral standards among the people of different communities. The vision is to have materials with moral aspect messages proclaiming the word of God that will build character fit for Heaven.
The intiative is to have a community radio station, A school for the blind, deaf, and the physically disabled or challeged.and also have a college/university for them.
This same intiative is to have printed messages on T-shirts, Books, Diaries, Bedding,and other material in proclaiming the Name of Jesus and also messages of change and economical development. It will also produce CD, DVD, VCDs on Motivational life situations and motivational talk, Sermons by youths different communities.And also young writers on different issues that promote social,economic and good will development will be produced (allowing their options to be head). The will be a production of a newspaper.
This also will bring youths from different backgrounds, be role model by involving them in this work. It will serve as a way of great opportunity of exposure by having them bring their ideas in creating a better Country of Zambia and Africa,World at large.
Who I am
You might be asking who i am. My full names are Rodney Mwape Chikwama Katongo, am 25 years old. I own my small enterprises. One is on Data Consultancy and the other is on Healthy Food Supplying. I am currently working at Zambia Malaria Foundation as a young consultant more less a volunteer for updating their website and creating the weekly e-news and general on IECs. I am a Seventh day Adventist. I have done project management, some computer course, social work. I also have worked for National Malaria Control Centre as a Data Specialist and also COmmunity Based TB Action Group as a programme Manager.I am driven to development by the need of our people and change begins at individual level.Other details can be got through contacting me.
Request Partnerships
The are many things that are to be done but yet am requesting for those that would want to partner in this intiative so that we can form a board and register it. I urgent do not really need funds but committed people to join hands in this initiative. This does not mean this intiative doesn't need fund. In the actual fact it need a lot. We need to work to Get.Any one is welcome to be a partner.
